Long time since I've posted, I've fallen rather mysteriously into Doctor Who.  

Odd that.

Saw Order again for the third time yesterday.

Some girl in the front was sobbing when Sirius bit it.

Definately comes too soon when my own grief is so difficult to contain.

I wanted to vomit.   There are far more important issues right now than that piece of Gryffindor trash who died years ago.

Personal crisis has been my best friend since Mother's Day.   

Why?

Because I did something so abysmally stupid.  

Back in February I succumbed to three years of my younger daughter's frequent requests for a dog.  We debated over puppy/adult, puchase/adopt.  And finally after much agonizing, much money, and many visits to animal shelters around San Antonio we decided on Bette.

Now I've never been a fan of dogs, I'm a cat person.  All the way.  Which is why I have Ponca.  But thus far I've been very satisfied with Bette, she's a aprx 5 year old Shep mix.  She is crate trained, housebroken, and is so very affectionate.  I'm very happy that we adopted and I'm so very glad that she turned out to be a good dog.  I have little time for training and we have little consistency in our home so we're very lucky that she has adapted so well.  She's gets along with Ponca to a certain extent.  And she is also fascinated with Neville Longbottom, our guinea pig.  

Younger Daughter and Bette

My Half-Blood Prince shirts were supposed to be ready yesterday but they called and it's now going to be Tuesday.  As long as they are done right, then I'll be satisfied with the delay.

In fan fiction, the majority of the opinion of the stories that I have read seem to do Severus up in a limited variety of black clothing.  I've become a player of "spot the outfit" when delving into a good fiction to seek what choices the authors may make.

Which is your favorite choice of Snape Clothing when reading fan fiction?

Upon closer inspection of the new High Res photos from the International Trailer (does anyone else think of creamers?), it appears to me that the Deranged and Overly Dramatic Bellatrix Lestrange might benefit from a razor to her underarms.  Surely there is a spell for that.

Though on second thought I should keep my wand at the ready and one eye open when I sleep tonight.

In other news, introduced Older Daughter to Monty Python.  We watched first the Holy Grail and are thus making our way through the series.  I've fallen for Michael Palin all over again.  *sigh*  Anyway, she is eating the shows up like M&M candies.  I was her age when I was converted.  At least she has a mother who appreciates them.  They made my mum a nervous wreck.

I think that the Snape/Umbrage interview is going to be in the film.  I hope.  Based on the scene when Snape knocks Weasley in the back of the head.

What other moments were significant enough in Potions Class for them to include Potions in the trailer?  AND.  CLEARLY.  THEY. ARE. IN. POTIONS.

I couldn't understand a word Hagrid was saying in the trailer.

i went and ordered my Half-Blood Prince shirts today.  should have them back in a few days.  after much indecision i decided on black with green letters.  too bad they don't have shiny green letters.  :-(    also got younger daughter her "weasley is our king" shirt too.  

Well my mom got moved into her apartment and all goes well there,  My garage is overflowing with her stuff and it's driving me batty.  I can't even see my camping gear, much less get to it.  And of course another cold front is coming through so it will be cold this weekend and we can't go through the stuff!  It was cold last weekend, got down to 29 degrees wind chill!  I was scared for my tomatoes (which are doing fabulous) but it looks like they weathered it okay.

My DVR took a crap last week and failed to tape The Office - the episode where Roy was going after Jim.  I was so angry!  BUT before the episode today I downloaded it off Itunes - My first time! and got to see it and OMG.  Michael wearing a woman's suit!  Holy shit that was funny.  I'm so glad that Andy is back he's annoying but he's lovable in an annoying way.  The jumping castle tonight!  And Creed was peeing behind the shrubs!  I love this show.  I'm giving both Seasons 1 & 2 to my mom to watch asap.

I had to go to a golf tournament and sit with a keg this week to market for our company.  Sounds great right, outdoors all day, no office.  This big bellied prick munching on a cigar gets to our hole and comes up and I'm having trouble with the keg because all I'm getting is foam and then in front of the other guys he starts making jokes about me giving him too much head and how he likes head but not that much and "Well you know I always tell the lady bartenders, that I want a beer and a little head."  HA fucking HA.  And I have to stand there with a smile on my face and just take it.

Because I need my job.

Well in about an hour there is a foursome waiting to tee off and they are clients of ours, and another team comes up and they are waiting to tee off too, and this prick #2 comes up and say Oh!  XXXX Company.  I heard about you guys, and I'm all smiles to try to market to him and he says "I heard you had a girl down here giving head."   I was so fucking embarrassed.  Is there any professionalism or plain common courtesy left in the world?

moved all textures that i ever thought were useful over to my deviantart page they are in the scraps section. also moved my most recent harry potter digital stuff over there.

whatever else i store there... i'll probably be really selective. but at least it will be online.

older daughter's deviantart site is doing really well. i'm proud of how far she has come in one year.

thank you guys for your kind words about my terrible past few months. my mother is doing better and will be out of rehab next wednesday. after that she'll be moving to an apartment here in town and i'll be able to keep an eye on her.

in the potterverse i think that the scene for the cover is inside or just outside of the veil in the department of mysteries and i find it odd that potter nor the dark lord have their wands. merlin! i cannot wait. i have a constant sick feeling in my stomach.
